The next “Come & See” vocation weekend for the 2018/19 academic year is tentatively set for 21-23 September 2018 at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC.  All of our weekends fill quickly, so contact the vocation director now.

+the LAST VOCATION WEEKEND for this academic year at the DOMINICAN HOUSE OF STUDIES IN WASHINGTON, D.C. was 6-8 April 2018; all weekends were in DC, except the 2017 October Cooperator Brotherhood Vocation Weekend, which was at St. Vincent Ferrer Priory in New York City.

*The first vocation weekend in the history of the US Dominicans for men considering the Cooperator Brotherhood was held in New York City from October 6-8, 2017 (over the feast of our Lady of the Rosary) – space was VERY limited. PLANS ARE ALREADY UNDERWAY for another Cooperator Brotherhood vocation weekend in Fall 2018  +MORE INFO

PAST 2017 SUMMER VOCATION EVENTS (so you can see what we do during the summer months)

+2017 Priesthood Ordinations for 7 of our friars was on May 20 at 9:30AM at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Washington, DC.  All ordination Masses are open to the public.  Some men interested in a vocation arrived Friday evening (May 19) and some stayed through Sunday for the first Masses.  Our novices were also here in Washington, DC for the celebrations.

+2017 New York City Vocation Event was Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at St. Vincent Ferrer on the upper east side of Manhattan – it started at 3PM, and included 4PM tour of church, 5:30PM vespers/meal with friars, a 7:30PM holy hour  with preaching/compline and Fellowship with Friars.   INFO HERE

+2017 New England Vocation Event was Monday, July 17 at Providence College – arrivals were 3:30-4PM; included a tour of PC (only college run by the Dominican Friars in the USA), vespers/meal with friars and a talk on Dominican Life with chaplains of PC and friars of St. Pius V.

+ 2017 Ohio Vocation Event with our Novices was August 10, mid afternoon at St. Gertrude Priory in Cincinnati – included tour of church/priory, vespers/meal, a talk on Dominican Life, ended with compline at 9:30PM in priory chapel; there was a chance to meet novices and hear their vocation stories.

+2017 St. Dominic (Aug. 8) Mass with Dominican Friars was at 11:30AM – open to all; men coming had a chance to speak with the vocation director.

+2017 Simple Profession Mass (Aug. 15) for our Novices for the Solemnity of the Assumption was at 11:30AM – open to all; men coming had a chance to speak with the vocation director.
