St. Thomas Aquinas on Tour

St. Thomas Aquinas is making his first ever U.S. tour 750 years after his death. His skull, normally found in Toulouse France will be visiting our province from November 29th to December 18th.

The tour is one part of the 2-year long jubilee commemorating three major anniversaries: the 700th anniversary of his canonization on July 18, 1323, the 750th anniversary of his death on March 7, 1274, and 800th anniversary of his birth, which was probably sometime in 1225.

The relics will stop at the following locations:

November 29 – St. Dominic Church, Washington, D.C.

November 30 – Dominican House of Studies, Washington, D.C.

December 2 – St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Charlottesville, Va.

December 4 – St. Pius V Church, Providence, R.I.

December 4 – Providence College, Providence, R.I.

December 6 – St. Gertrude Church, Cincinnati, Ohio

December 7-8 – St. Patrick Church, Columbus, Ohio

December 10 – St. Louis Bertrand Church, Louisville, Ky.

December 12 – St. Rose Church, Springfield, Ky.

December 13 – Church of St. Catherine of Siena, New York, N.Y.

December 14 – Church of St. Barnabas, Bellmore, N.Y.

December 14-15 – St. Vincent Ferrer Church, New York, N.Y.

December 16 – St. Patrick Church, Philadelphia, Pa.

December 18 – Saints Philip & James Church, Baltimore, Md.

A Plenary Indulgence granted for pilgrimage to a holy place connected with the Order of Friars Preachers under the usual conditions.
