New Academic Year at Dominican Institutions
August 29, 2017
The friars of the Province of St. Joseph engaged in educational and campus ministry apostolates are in the midst of beginning a new academic year. At Providence College, Fr. Vincent Ferrer Bagan, O.P., Fr. Peter Martyr Yungwirth, O.P., and Fr. John Allard, O.P. recently shared their insights about Dominican traditions and the order’s approach to preaching and teaching with members of the new first-year class (see photo above). At the Dominican House of Studies, Fr. John Langlois, O.P. gave a homily inaugurating the academic year in which he shared the relevance of St. Augustine’s story for the task of contemporary students of theology.
