The Importance of Campus Ministry at Secular Schools
February 24, 2017
In a recent article for The Catholic World Report, Fr. Thomas More Garrett, O.P., offers reflections on the importance of Catholic campus ministry programs at secular colleges and universities. Reflecting on recent polls regarding religious affiliation, Fr. Garret proposes that Catholic campus ministry programs at secular institutions may provide the most immediate channel through which to spark more vigorous discussion among young adults concerning the limits of science and the role of faith.
The Province of St. Joseph presently engages in campus ministry at American University, Brown University, Dartmouth College, New York University, Providence College, Quinnipiac University, Johns Hopkins University and the University of Virginia.
