Announcing 2015-2016 Vocation Weekends

September 3, 2015

Each year the Dominican Province of St. Joseph organizes four vocation weekends at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, D.C.  This year’s weekends will be:
Sept. 18-20, 2015
Oct. 23-25, 2015
Feb. 5-7, 2016
Mar. 18-20, 2016
There are also other events, to which men are invited, who are considering a vocation to the Order of Preachers, including opportunities during the summer months and visits to our smaller houses.
With the opening of the province’s second formation community in Southwest DC, St. Dominic Priory (to resolve space issues at the ever-growing House of Studies in Northeast DC), this year’s four vocation weekends will include, for the first time, the opportunity to visit and meet the friars of St. Dominic’s studentate.  St. Dominic’s Priory is residence to our transitional deacons in formation, our elderly friars in assisted living, and our newly ordained priests still in graduate studies.  For more information or to sign up, contact the director of vocations, Fr. Benedict Croell OP via the province’s vocation site: Vocations.OPEast.org
