Spotlight on Frassati Fellowships

July 30, 2014

Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, third order Dominican and patron of the World Youth Days, knew the secret to a happy life: be free. During the twenty-four short years of his life, he lived the freedom of Christ in everything he did, especially his prayer and study, his service to the poor, and his mountaineering. In recent years, fellowships of young adults have sprung up across the world, inspired by his sanctity. These groups, called Frassati Fellowships, follow in the footsteps of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, seeking to bring the whole person to Christ through adoration, study, community, charitable activity, and love of the outdoors. The Dominican Friars of the Province of St. Joseph are chaplains to four Frassati Fellowships and assist with a fifth: Baltimore Frassati Fellowship (Facebook) Charlottesville Frassati Fellowship (Facebook) Columbus Frassati Society (Facebook) DC Frassati Fellowship (Facebook) New York Frassati Fellowship (Facebook); administered by the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal from the Church of St. Vincent Ferrer in New York City Young adults in the areas of these fellowships are welcome to join.
