Upcoming Dominican Vocations Weekend

January 16, 2014

People come to a Dominican vocation in any number of ways: by reading a book; by encountering a Dominican; by hearing preaching; by going to spiritual direction; and sometimes by paths the man himself can’t quite explain. These days, the one place all these different paths lead is the Vocations Weekend, a retreat at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, D.C., intended for men who think God might be calling them to the Dominican Order. The retreat is a chance for visitors to pray with the community, hear talks about the Dominican life, and meet a host of friars who have offered their lives to be shaped in the form of St. Dominic. The next Vocations Weekend is coming soon: February 7-9. To find out more information or to learn how to register for the retreat, see the news from our Vocations Director here. Those interested in the Order can also find more information about who the Dominicans are by visiting the Province’s vocations website, opeast.org.
