PFIC Now Offering Doctorate in Sacred Theology

November 18, 2013

This fall, the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., re-opened its program for the Doctorate in Sacred Theology, one of the Holy See’s highest academic degrees. The Doctorate in Sacred Theology (S.T.D.) is a specialized degree program in Thomistic studies, which offers a terminal degree (the ecclesiastical doctorate) granted by the authority and in the name of the Holy See. This new degree program is part of the Thomistic Institute’s mission to advance the search for truth according to the mind of St. Thomas and to promote a more fruitful engagement of the perennial wisdom of our Catholic heritage with contemporary culture. Doctoral candidates may specialize either in the domain of Thomistic systematic theology or Thomistic moral theology. Applications are due annually on January 15. Inquiries and applications may be sent to assistantti@dhs.edu. Complete information about the degree can be found here.
