The Wrong View of God & Suffering

Monday, June 25th

Br. Dominic Bump, O.P., will explain why a perfect, all powerful, and just God permits suffering in the world. If God could have prevented us from suffering then why does he allow us to suffer?

Monday, July 9th

Br. John Sica, O.P., will explain the recent controversy that has led to disputes about exemptions for reasons of conscience. What is conscience and what place does it have in the Catholic account of the moral life?

Grace in the Sacraments

Monday, July 16th

Br. Dominic Bump, O.P., will explore how grace works through the sacraments, and can change our lives inside and outside the Church.

Divine Providence

Monday, July 23rd

Scripture says that God’s wisdom “reaches from one end of the earth to the other,” and “orders all things well.” Br. John Sica, O.P., will explain what is this plan of God’s wisdom, and what does it mean for the spiritual life?
