Organ Transplantation: a talk at Saint Catherine of Siena Parish in New York City
July 23, 2012
Brother Albert Duggan, O.P. will give a talk and lead a discussion on Organ Transplantation at Saint Catherine of Siena Parish in New York City on Thursday, July 26th from 7-8:30 pm. Organ transplantation poses a host of moral and theological questions: informed consent, the ascertainment of death, and the just allocation of finite resources. This talk will examine the Church’s teaching to address these and other questions raised by the practice of organ transplantation. The discussion will be led by Dominican Br. Albert Duggan, O.P., who majored in Bioethics at Brown University and conducted four years of bioethical research at John Hopkins University. This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome to attend!
