From Soccer Player to Priest

Another sports star has entered seminary.  This time, it’s an Irishman named Phil Mulryne who played for a number of teams in England and through Europe, including time with Manchester United while players such as David Beckham and Ryan Giggs donned the Manchester United jersey.

After an injury, Phil Mulryne took up charitable work and began the process of turning his life around.  Now?  He’s at the Pontifical Irish College in Rome.
