During the first two weeks of December, the Province of St. Joseph welcomed Most Revered Bruno Cadoré, O.P., Master of the Order of Preachers for a Visitation of the Province. Visitations are regular events in the governance structure of the Dominican order, in which the Master of the Order visits a province in order to learn more about the life of the brothers, and to make suggestions or decisions to help the renewal of each Province.

During his Visitation, the Master was able to visit the formation houses of the the Province in Washington, DC and Cincinnati, OH, as well as priories of the Order in New York, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. In addition to his meetings with the friars, Fr. CadorĂ© met with the Prioresses of the North American cloistered nuns’ monasteries, Lay Dominicans from the Our Lady of Mercy Lay Fraternity at MCI Prison, and celebrated Mass for the Dominican Family at the Church of St. Vincent Ferrer in New York City.
