Youth Gather in Kentucky for Dominican Conference

From July 10 to July 13, more than two hundred teenagers gathered at St. Catharine College in Springfield, Kentucky, for the annual Ignite Your Torch youth conference. The annual youth conference is organized by Catholics United for Life, an ongoing apostolate of the St. Martin de Porres Lay Dominican Community in New Hope, Kentucky. The mission of Catholics United for Life is to aid the Church in her mission “to restore the moral principles of the natural law and Divine Revelation, focusing in a special way on the right to life for all human persons and on the integral part that sexual morality plays in life issues.” You can find out more about the mission of CUL at their website here. This year’s Ignite Your Torch conference was attended by Dominican friars and sisters from all over Ohio and Kentucky, as well as teenagers from the area.
