On this Mothers Day edition of the Word to Life podcast, Fr. John Maria Devaney, O.P., and Los Angeles based film composer, Stephen Edwards discuss his composition entitled, “Requiem for my Mother.” Stephen used the text of the Mass for the Dead and in the tradition of Mozart, Duruflé, and Brahms who composed their own musical settings for the Requiem Mass. This project is also featured in the documentary of the same name airing on public television throughout the United States this Mothers Day weekend.
