Fr. John P. McGuire, O.P. (1943–2016)

Fr. John P. McGuire, O.P., passed away on Christmas night. Fr. McGuire made profession in the Order of Preachers on September 13, 1969, and was ordained to the priesthood on June 1, 1973. He served in many different roles serving the Order and the Church in Europe and the United States, including 12 years as Pastor of the Church of St. Joseph in Greenwich Village, New York, NY.

The Dominican Foundation, which Fr. McGuire served as a board member, has established the Father John McGuire Memorial Scholarship Fund for the education of Dominican Student Brothers to the priesthood. For more information click here.
