Friars Launch Digital Initiatives

The Parish of St. Vincent Ferrer and St. Catherine of Siena – New York City

Godsplaining (Podcast)

A weekly episode of this lively podcast will continue to be made available. Additionally, the friar-hosts now record a special episode unpacking the Sunday readings each week. Godsplaining is available for download wherever podcasts are found, or to stream online here.

St. Pius V Parish – Providence, RI

The friars at St. Pius broadcast Holy Mass online from the rectory chapel at noon (M-F) and at 10 am (Sun). Additionally, the Parish Lenten Seminar will be broadcast on Saturday mornings at 9am. Providence College – Providence, RI

The friars of Providence College now offer daily reflections in the form of new podcast called Virtual Veritas. The podcast, along with a fantastic collection of online resources can be found here. You can also subscribe to Virtual Veritas on Spotify.

The Paschal Triduum will be live streamed from the Chapel of the Priory of St. Thomas Aquinas. Please join the resident Dominican community in prayer during these sacred and solemn days here.

St. Patrick Parish – Columbus, OH

The friars at St. Patrick live stream Holy Mass from the priory chapel at 11:30am (M-F) and at 9am (Sat and Sun). The Mass can be viewed on the parish website: www.stpatrickcolumbus.org. Additional events, such as the parish Lenten Mission, will also be streamed.

The Thomistic Institute

There are now 52 videos available in the Aquinas 101 video course.  Visit Aquinas101.com to watch and to find more resources.

The Thomistic Institute has some seven hundred lectures on philosophy and theology available here, which can also be found on almost all podcast apps – search for “The Thomistic Institute” and subscribe.

St. Mary Parish – New Haven, CT

The friars at St. Mary’s will stream Holy Mass at noon every day from the Parish Facebook page. Other programs and announcements will also be made via live stream.

Sts. Phillip and James Parish – Baltimore, MD

The friars at Sts. Phillip and James will offer a reflection each Friday on the Parish Facebook page and on the parish website.

St. Gertrude Parish – Cincinnati, OH

The friars at St. Gertrude now present a daily video series, entitled Closing the Social Distance, available on the St. Gertrude Parish website. Also available are the archives of lectures for the Aquinas Society of Cincinnati. Forthcoming are 1) a Jacques Philippe reading club, 2) devotions (including a novena to Our Lady of Lourdes with Frs. Benedict Croell, O.P., and Michael Dosch, O.P.).

The Conventual Mass from St. Gertrude Priory continues to be broadcast Monday-Friday on Sacred Heart Radio at Noon (EST). 

St. Joseph Parish – Greenwich Village, NY

The friars at St. Joseph’s post daily videos on the parish YouTube channel and on the parish Facebook page. We are also sharing updates of the latest parish information and the pastor’s letters on the parish website.

Dominicana blog

Dominicana is a publication of the Dominican student brothers. Student friars live and study at the Dominican House of Studies and at St. Dominic’s Priory, both in Washington, D.C. Blog posts are updated every weekday, and the journal appears once a year.

Praying the Triduum at Home

Various guides are available for families to pray the Triduum at home. One was composed by the brothers of the House of Studies and can be viewed here. Other excellent resources have been compiled by the Catholic news website Aleteia and the Archdiocese of Manila.
