Friars from the Province of St. Joseph publish in a wide variety of scholarly and popular domains. Here is a list of some recent work of our friars:
Fr. Peter John Cameron, O.P., recently published an article in Columbia, a publication of the Knights of Columbus, titled “Our Fathers in Faith.” The article considers the importance of St. Joseph and Father McGivney as holy exemplars and patrons in the Christian life. In February, Fr. Cameron also published an article in America
Fr. George Christian, O.P., has published a translation of Bernard Bonvin’s Lacordaire Jandel, a scholarly study of two great figures in the nineteenth century revival of the Order of Preachers: Fr. Jean-Baptiste Henri Lacordaire, O.P., and Fr. Alexander Vincent Jandel, O.P.
Fr. Thomas Joseph White, O.P., published an article titled “Catholicism and Its Discontents: Revelation in an Ecumenical and Interreligious Context” in the 2016 volume of Angelicum, the academic journal of the Angelicum University in Rome.
Fr. Reginald Lynch, O.P., has a forthcoming volume titled The Cleansing of the Heart: The Sacraments as Instrumental Causes in the Thomistic Tradition. This book is part of the Thomistic Ressourcement Series published by Catholic University of America Press.
Fr. Albert Paretsky, O.P., has recently published and article titled “The Persistence of Memory: The Quest for Human Origins and Destiny in Andrey Bely’s Kotik Letaev and Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life,” in the January 2017 issue of New Blackfriars.
Fr. Innocent Smith, O.P. was interviewed about the importance of beauty in the liturgy by Regina Magazine.
