Fr. Peter John Cameron, OP, to appear on EWTN
January 4, 2015
On Sunday night, January 4, Fr. Peter John Cameron, OP, joins Franciscan University Presents hosts Michael Hernon, Dr. Regis Martin, and Dr. Scott Hahn, for a program entitled “Loved by God.” Fr. Cameron, editor-in-chief of Magnificat, will be talking about his new book, Made for Love, and the importance of prayer: “The plain fact is that God desires communication with us. If for no other reason, we pray to him simply because God wants us to talk to him. He asks us, begs us to. He longs for connection with our heart—communion. The very possibility of prayer is a gift of God’s love.” Prayer is to be an unceasing act of love of God: “The minute we give up our unceasing act of love is the moment our life begins to fall apart. When we fall off offering our act of love, we fall back into ourselves—into our own inadequate thoughts, our own imperfect understanding of things, our compromises and false idols… Conversely, our unceasing act of love gives God the freedom to be God in our lives.” The show airs on Sunday, January 4, at 10:00pm and again on Thursday, January 8, at 5:00am. For more information on the show, see the Franciscan University Presents website. For Fr. Cameron’s other books, see his author page on amazon.com.
