Aesthetics and Culture: Maritain, Modernity, and Beauty

Thomas S. Hibbs (Baylor University) will deliver a lecture entitled “Aesthetics and Culture: Maritain, Modernity, and Beauty” as part of “The Art of the Beautiful” series sponsored by the Catholic Artists Society and the Thomistic Institute. The lecture will take place on Saturday, December 6, at 7:30pm at the Catholic Center at NYU and will be followed by a reception and sung Compline. Dr. Hibbs is a prolific speaker and author whose work has appeared in both popular and scholarly venues. He has written three books on the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas and two books on film.
