Youngstown’s local NBC affiliate, WFMJ, recently ran an extended piece about St. Dominic’s Church in Youngstown, and Greg Maturi, O.P.’s continued neighborhood revitalization plan, Operation Redemption. The in-depth treatment of Operation Redemption comes in the wake of the murder trial of Aubrey Toney, who was convicted of the murder of Thomas Repchic and the shooting of his wife in September 2010. Through the interview with Fr. Greg, the news segment shows how God has worked great good out of that terrible evil, bringing a new life and spiritual health to a previously embattled area.
