Forming the Artist

The Catholic Artists Society has made the audio recording of David Clayton’s November 16 lecture on artistic formation available for listening here. The talk was given as the third installment in the Art of the Beautiful series, co-sponsored by the Thomistic Institute and the Catholic Artists Society. The audio of the first talk by Gregory Wolfe of Image Journal, entitled “Art: For Whose Sake?” is available here, and the second talk by Fr. Peter John Cameron, O.P., entitled “The Responsibility of the Artist,” is available here. The fourth talk in the series, by Professor Alice Ramos of St. John’s University on Beauty and the Real, will be on December 14 at 7:30 P.M. at the NYU Catholic Center at 238 Thompson St., NY, NY, followed by Compline. The event is free and open to the public.
