Studying St. Thomas in the Order of Preachers

Following a very successful conference in Warsaw, Poland, three years ago, more than 100 Dominican friars involved in the study and teaching of Thomism gathered again for a conference on the Renewal of Thomism. The topic of this year’s conference was: God: One and Triune.  The goal of the conference was to create a forum in which Dominican friars could explore together in a contemporary renewal of Thomistic thinking regarding the doctrine of God. Additional conferences also provide friars a forum to explore more generally the place of the Thomistic heritage in the life of the Order.  The next conference will occur in 2016, coinciding with the 800th anniversary of the founding of the Order of Preachers. The conference was hosted by the Thomistic Institute at the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC.  A collection of photos from the event can be found below.
