Friars & NYU Students Evangelize in Washington Square Park

June 22, 2013

“The commemoration of the half millennium of evangelization will gain its full energy if it is a commitment, not to re-evangelize but to a New Evangelization, new in its ardor, methods and expression.” -JPII

Recently, some of our friars, including Fr. Austin Litke OP (Asst. Chaplain at NYU) and some NYU students did some evangelizing in Washington Square Park.  Bluegrass was a perfect avenue into some great conversations with New Yorkers out and about in front of the Catholic Center at New York University.  The square is just a block west of our University Church of St. Joseph on Sixth Avenue in New York City.
