Tenebrae at the Dominican House of Studies

The annual Tenebrae service at the Dominican House of Studies will take place this evening, April 16, at 7:30 P.M. The Tenebrae service, commemorating the betrayal of Christ and the entry into the drama of the Passion, features a series of readings, music from the DHS schola, and Night Prayer. This year’s musical selection includes a pair of works from Tomas Luis de Victoria and the Lamentations of Jeremiah, among others. The event will take place at 7:30 P.M. at the Dominican House of Studies at 487 Michigan Ave NE, Washington, D.C. The service is free and open to the public. Seats go quickly, so attendees are encouraged to arrive early.
