The Responsibility of the Artist

The Catholic Artists Society has made the audio recording of Fr. Peter John Cameron, O.P.’s October 12 lecture on the responsibility of the artist available for listening here. The talk, which was attended by more than two hundred people, was given as the second installment in the Art of the Beautiful series, co-sponsored by the Thomistic Institute and the Catholic Artists Society. The audio of the first talk by Gregory Wolfe of Image Journal, entitled “Art: For Whose Sake?” is available here. The third talk in the series, by iconographer and professor David Clayton, will be on November 16 at 7:30 P.M. at the NYU Catholic Center at 238 Thompson St., NY, NY, followed by Compline. The event is free and open to the public.
